Lake Korission: a long and narrow lagoon which covers about 1500 acres. Adjacent is the Halikounas Beach which together with the lagoon make an exquisite combination. Close-by also, is a rare cedar forest which is grown on sand dunes. There are also 14 species of orchid and white lilies in this forest. A path through the forest leads to Agios Georgios Beach. The area that is defined by the lake and the forest constitutes a wetlands habitat where there are 126 bird species.
