Kalami Bay

A former fishing village nestling between the sea and a mountain backdrop of olive and pine trees, Kalami is now a peaceful resort that retains its traditional charm.

Lawrence Durrell, the famous English novelist and playwright made Kalami his home from 1935-1939, staying at the White House, which is now one of the village's tavernas.

The pebbly Blue Flag beach of Kalami is sheltered by olive clad headlands on either side and is a perfect, safe spot for a swim in the stunningly clear water.

Kalami village itself has three tavernas in total, all offering delicious Greek and international cuisine, and three cocktail bars, at which you can enjoy a quiet drink. Three minimarkets and two gift shops complete Kalami's amenities.

It is also a very safe beach for children.
